[Conventional]
5.3.3.1.3 In a conventional PRV application, when the allowable overpressure is 10 %, the BUILT-UP backpressure should not exceed 10 % of the set pressure.

[Balanced]
5.3.3.2.1 Balanced valves can typically be applied where the TOTAL backpressure (superimposed plus built-up) does not exceed
approximately 50 % of the set pressure.

즉, conventional type의 back pressure 기준은 BUILT-UP backpressure
balanced type의 back pressure 기준은 BUILT-UP + SUPERIMPOSED backpressure 이라는 것인데
conventional에서 SUPERIMPOSED backpressure를 고려하지 않는 이유가 있을런지요.

Conventional type중에서 ATM으로 방출되는 PSV는 superimposed backpressure를 고려하지 않아도 무방하겠지만
Flare 혹은 특정 system으로 방출된다면 end pressure에 해당하는 압력을 superimposed back pressure로 고려해야 한다고 생각하는데요.
위 API 기준대로 BUILT-UP backpressure만 고려해도 된다면 conventional type을 적용할 수 있는 service가 TOTAL backpressure를 고려하는 조건보다는 폭넓게 사용될 수는 있겠네요.

혹시 이에 대한 조언을 부탁드립니다.
