Mixture of methane and propane enter pre-flash drum to reduce the heat duty of demethanizer colunm.
Design vessel diameter, height, design pressure(or MAWP) and the thickness of the vertical pressure vessel with demisting pad based on following condition.
Use the control valve to control the vessel level.
 
Mass Flow Rate of Liquid Mixture: 180,000kg/hr
Mole %: Methane 80, Propane 20
Pressure of Mixture : 33bar
 
<Assumption>
Normal Liquid Level :50% of vessel volume.
Liquid gold up time (regident time) :5~15 minutes.
Various factors to determine the vessel thickness and/or design pressure.
